French Muscovy ducks were a pleasant surprise to the farm. After we were successful in establishing a market for our gourmet Red Bro chickens, we decided these gourmet birds would be a tremendous extension to our poultry lineup. We were pleased to find our customers were very satisfied and requested that we raise them again this season.
The French Muscovy duck yields an excellent amount of tasty and nutritious meat which contains 50% less fat than the typical American Muscovy duck. Given its reduced fat content, these ducks not only produce tremendous flavor, they are also a bit easier to manage in the kitchen.
In a nutshell, this is a great bird for both an experienced chef and or novice kitchen goers looking to get creative and expand their culinary repertoire.
